Sat morn said I wouldn't call anybody up at 5:00am coffee ,just relaxing ,get a call from a buddy round say 8:30 ..said hens haw.had good reports..I never been there so I said let's go !mind you he only lives 10 blocks away.my stuff is always ready,but I get a call bout 9:30 ..he now was on his way..at 10:30 he shows Up off we go! To the bank for a quick stop,11:00 we hit the road after 2 more stops we get to the lake at 12:30 to find two people at the dock..I must say I'm a tenacious crappie fisherman ,after driving this far I went into a fury ,changing jig colors,depths,walking the bank,after 4 hrs with not a bite ,,I was pretty disappointed..only..saw one fish caught..
On live minnows.I never judge my performance by others I always feel you can catch fish anytime if you just find the key...I never look at weather or anything I just fish hopefully ton catch that one fish that isn't going along with the other fishes program..
I love the lake .really cheap boat rentals $35.00..very brackish water..huge cold front and windy ..met a cool guy there.. Had a good system,was using ice fishing rods down through the holes on the dock ..( he had about 4 rods).. I would imagine it looked like a small school of minnows down there,still no bites ..the hotel rental he said was 75...
No tv but a stove..I wondered why he didn't stay at one of the many casinos there..same price better rooms anyway,,to top off the day on the way back my buddy starts falling asleep at the wheel!!!He wouldn't let me drive!mind you I'm a teamster I drive for a living!,,note to self(never go fishing with this guy k
On a drive over an hour!!!! Hate to keep posting skunks but maybe there's something in it for somebody...later dudes
