Has anyone ever fished the 3 oil rigs that are about half way to catalina? Curious to know what the fishing is like there. Thanks!

Not allowed to fish near them. However, I would imagine tons of fat rockfish, maybe a few cowcods...

100 yards I think but alot of guys fish closer than that. Rigs draw bait and bait eaters.

Yeah I know about the 100 yard deal but I always fish the closer rigs off HB and have never had a problem so its probably the same thing on those rigs but I normally just pull up into casting distance and drift by a side and keep repeating until I find the right drift. Thanks for the input.
