About to tire out the photos section.
Hit tons of bass today on the C-bait.
Figured out how they wanted it.

Left the spinning gear at home.
fished three baits all day:
C-bait,
Triple Trout,
7" zipperworm shakey head.

Was shooting for bigger fish.
I suppose I didn't do so bad, considering they were all 2lbs and over.
All they wanted was the C-bait. No swimmy fish.
I need some confidence in these Triple Trouts.
Enjoy the pics. Had a blast nailing those bass for sure! Lost a few more to the structure.

Custon Perris color Triple Trout doesn't work.

First fish of the day came on my first cast of the C-bait the very instant it hit the water. The fish surface exploded on the bait. Awesome! I laughed my *** off it was the first cast and had such EXPLOSIVE results! Great fight through cover. Pretty sure this fish went 18" or over..

Caught on to the pattern and nailed a few more.

even the smaller ones were 2lbs or so.

my iphone camera and it's bad angles do not show fish well. Here was another..

Yummay!

Then I had some home made Tacos while chillin in the reeds in my hiding spot.
Nobody does tubing like TJ. Soon will be on a Kayak having a fiesta brunch!

Quick review of our three weapons for the day. No wimpy stuff here.

Caught another and famred a pair more. Then got hit HARD by this fish. It was a lot wider than it seems. I'm guessing it was at least 3.5lbs maybe 4 if I'm lucky. Solid solid fish though and actually pulled drag on my 15lb C-bait combo. That combo performed awesomely all day too. Something about smacking bass on a featherlight Steez/Carrot combo just makes your day, believe it!
Hell of a fish right here. Pics do it no justice!

Something like 18" I think

Nothing but average good fighting angry reaction fish. Just the way I love it! :Envious:
Thanks for looking. Traffic court tomorrow

Thanks guys! You've all helped at one time or another.
ooooh my goodness.. it is fun indeed.
That combo being so light I don't have any aches at all today and I threw it 3/4 of the day. I almost feel guilty poking these fish.
They fully expected a good meal when they hit is so fiestily and realized they were fooled. They all fought great! Released immediately!

Here's a trick I learned last season to bring even bigger bites. :Secret:
Custom trimmed trailers of the stinky and great action type!
Adding bulk to a good bait only makes it better!

Watch now I'll go get you guys a donkey.
I'll try and refrain from the hundreds of fish I'll nail inbetween.

Nice job out there. Quality and productive day. White and chartreuse C-bait killed it. Got to try that this coming weekend.

Missed ya at the reserve that one day dude. I owe ya a visit eventually! Maybe when it warms up we can hit the Jetties too. I miss the salt but the greenies have my focus ATM.

You must have forgot what it's like then my friend! haha
either that or you need a swimbait rod or a wide reaction bite to tire your arm out and set you straight.

That day at Anglers when I hit 20+ bass on self modified shallow crankbaits on the sol and 6' M/L/F GL2 then my PB bass on the same bait gave the green a spot in my blood forever. Then proceeded to hit 100 of my first topwater fish.:EyePop:

Just the fact that they will eat practically anything if you know how to convince them is enough to seal the deal for me.

Most reason I use anything above 6lb is because all the lures I use are too heavy.
