I see a lot of tournament blah, blah, blah, and a lot of tourney this and that but I din't see a lot of people posting pictures of fish.
Yea you trollers get yours but everyone else gets whats left which is not much.
Anybody planning on shore fishing good luck, all you'll catch are your neighbors and a ton of weeds.

The fishing has been so bad, that I haven't been sinse December 2010.

Good luck to you newbies!

king,
Not true bro. I've been fishing the Vine weekly now since Nov. And while I can say the water has warmed quite a bit (it was 68 on Monday afternoon), the fishing is very much happening. I had a bow that was about 18 pounds swim right up to the back of my boat in Woodys cove on Mon. This is typical of what is going on now over much of the lake. The fish are going deeper now but make no mistake about it, there's plenty of surface action to be had if you know what you're doing.
tight lines...

I bet, 100s of boats surely put down the fish.
Happens almost every weekend.

Eddie,
By put down, I meant, scare off the fish from the surface. Mucho weekend warriors racing around everywhere scare off every fish out there. It's no surprise that most the fish came from shore guys.
I never fish the vine on the weekend because of the crowds. If you can, get out there during the week sometime and it can be competely different.:Fishing Catch:
tight lines...

Ohh ok I get you, security and payola was actually very very strict with keeping boats behind the buoy Wich was 100 yards from shore...it helped alot !!

Fishing was tough for the tourney. Fished from my yak and had two hits all day trolling and both went air born and spit the lure before I even got the rod in my hands.

Irvine or Santa ana they both are a hit or miss!!! i have got more than a dozzen in a day and i have got skunked
you cant expect much from private stocked lakes!!! its just a lake to get your line wet and catch a buzz and hang out with your bros and wait for the opener off 395.
