Lakes above Convict?

Has anyone ever fished/camped by the lakes above Convict lake? If so, could you help me out with any info or links that would inform me on everything I'd need to know? This is something I've always wanted to do.

Beautiful lakes...but don't count on catching any fish. It's mainly camera country.
