Planned to do more snow removal at Parchers today but when we arrived at 10am there was already 4 inches of fresh and it was cold, blowing and snowing sideways. Will wait til the storms over. Decided to fish instead.
Fished the dam at PVR from noon til about 3pm today. Windy, cold, a few snow flurries here and there. Regardless of the weather, the bite was solid fishin' jigs and thomas bouyants. My buddy Brett farmed a good 6lber but he made good by landing a toad that was pushing 5lbs on the next cast. I stuck a fish that went 2.5 or so and our friend Karey got one that probably went 2lbs. We all missed a few more toads and stuck several stockers. The wind certainly slowed the bite but they were still biting. Our neighbor farmed a TOAD...couldn't get his little fly fishing net unhooked from his vest...sucks for him. Get out there....its good.
