Has anyone gone? haven't seen any reports from there lately. I will be going on the full day trip to catalina on wednesday. I want to catch some bonita, but i doubt that right now is the time. I guess rockfish it is. Any tips???

one of my friends recently went....they fished rockfish and whitefish..just check the counts and call the landing....BUT anytime you fish an island, you never know whats going to happen from day to day..so id bring a 12 lb rod just in case you get into some bonito or calicos, along with a 15 lb....and a 25 lb rod....idk what you have.....
