I was up in the Round valley area this weekend looking for dropped deer antlers again and hit up PVR sat. morn. for about 3 hours for a quick fishing fix . My brother and I caught probably about 20 trout mostly small browns , all on the gold Thomas Bouyant lure . A big alper rainbow was lost as I was trying to get a pic but thats ok as all fish were released anyway . The water was really stained brown with alot of debris on the west shore we were on . We were fishing right across from the launch ramp and people were doing well on the power baits and nuggets at the ramp area . There was alot of snow still in the higher area and we were running into deer that would be up in the higher elevations already , so we ended up getting our antlers down in the lower sage flats this year [ alot easier walking ] // db http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/db_bucket_photos/IMG_1154.jpghttp://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/db_bucket_photos/IMG_1148.jpghttp://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/db_bucket_photos/IMG_1149.jpg[/I[IMG]http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/db_bucket_photos/IMG_1150.jpgMG]http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/db_bucket_photos/IMG_1155.jpghttp://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/db_bucket_photos/IMG_1160.jpg

Thats a question Iam always asked , I made several antler chandellers and now I have like boxes of these things just waiting for something to be done with them , some are in my yard around the edges of flower gardens . Ive given some away to freinds as its illegal to sell these . Ive hiked around the owens valley area and also collected the dropped antlers from the Tule elk . Hiking in the owens this time of year is the real reward , finding the drops is like a easter egg hunt , lol . Hiking down from the west side at PVR is alot easier than it looks , alot of locals go this route .

When I was up there two weekends ago there was quite a few people fishing it over there. But it looked very steep, very surprised people go down that way.
