I have never tried crab or lobster fishing, and I have one of those 32" pier nets. What bait could be good to use.

Also, what piers can they be caught off of?

Thanks! :D

Crustaceans section begins at 29.80.
Check the supplemental regs also, don't wanna get a ticket.

Crabs will eat anything, for lobster fresh mackerel is best. I usually get frozen mackerel from the Asian market. Chicken also works.

Chicken was good however usually fell apart.
I definiately agree with the mackerel, also squid is also really good.

This is based on NJ blue craw / softshell crabbin.

i went once wit my buddy and he was using, believe it or not, a can of cat food with holes poked in it. it was working really really well. came home with 4 HUGE bugs in about 1 hour.

i have NO experience in this though just thought i would help out. but make sure your following all the rules, there are a lot and they are very confusing well from what he was telling me.

good luck
