Lake Hemet 4/1/11

I have not posted in a long time so i thought i would say hi. This winter has been really weird at lake hemet because of all the water coming in. The fish pretty much shut off to trollers for well over a month. They were cruising the shallows eating all the critters that were coming out of the ground as the water came up. Anyway fishing has been getting better every week. I have been doing really well on the holdovers, getting lots of 15 inch fish with really nice full tails. Today was really good, i picked up 16 fish all really nice, fishing twisted trout crawler harness's. The bigger fish are really holding tight to the structure. here are a few pictures of the lake and a fish.

Thanks for the report from Hemet. Boy, that sure seems like a lot of water in the lake now . Got to hit the lake up soon.

I was up there friday night until sat morning. Haven't been up there for about a year and a half...The assigned camping sucks. I got put in the cove across from the launch ramp. Fishing was terrible. They had the section of campground by fence between state side shut down so we couldn't get over to my spots....It was a total bummer.

Nice job as usual. I was up there on saturday and was blown away at the water level, seams like it rose another 3-4 ft from just a month and a half ago. I was fishing on the wilderness side and there`s no shoreline left. I only caught 1 fish but still enjoyed the day.

Nope there will be a bumper crop this year.
