Headed up to the lagoon with the fam. for a late afternoon session. Met up with captain morgan. Threw some plastics, jerk baits, and crawlers. Not a bite. My son's pole was in a pole holder on shore, with a crawler. His bell went off and my wife freaked out and grabbed the pole to set the hook because my son was playing around. So she set it right into a rock. Lost everything. So I grab my sons pole and rig it up with another night crawler. I decided to cast it for him so he can get far enough out there. As soon as I set the pole down boom fish on! Handed my son his pole and he brought in his first LMB. Did'nt have my scale but it looked to be about 2 lbs and healthy. Well he is hooked hell be post his own trips before we know it.

Very nice memory for a lifetime. I'll never forget my first lmb and I'm sure he never will either. God bless.

Nice to hear about the kids catching.
It's a lot more fun for everybody if they catch fish.

Family time fishing is the best. Congrats to the little one. Soon i will be going there with my son and hope to land a few fishes.
