That 253 makes a great "Mini Swimbait Reel" for Laregmouth.
The drag will buckle down good even though I always have mine loose.
It will handle 6" to 8" swimbaits well up to 30lb line.
I have boated bass up to 7lbs on swimbaits with those reels.
