This is what I got...well ordered from eBay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Caddis-Deluxe-Breathable-Chest-Waders-Mens-/180636508268?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item6fc38cae4e

It's $119.99 at Turner's and only $89.99 on eBay and with only .99 shipping you can't beat that. I also got a 10% for installing the eBay app on my iPhone which made it $1 less then the asking price. I don't know if they're any good or not but I'll find out this weekend when it comes in Monday. Boots aren't included but I've seen people fish with 'em w/o boots. It's breathable and doesn't look to bad.

First off you want Breathable waders..... Hands down the best for any activity..

If your Surf fishing or Wading in creeks etc ONLY. Then get them with the Boot...
If they will be doing double duty as with Float Tube, then get Stocking foot. You can wear boots over for Surf & wading, and Fins for Tubing...
Dont ever want to get Booted waders for Fin use.
Way, Way to heavy on the foot. You will HATE them quickly!!

I agree with Nessie - if you are just wading, boot foot is the way to go. I have stocking foot waders and use a flats boot in the surf. It's okay, but I still get sand and gravel down the flats boots no matter how I try and cover 'em.

Maybe I'm wrong but in the surf section of the post I've seen guys wear waders w/o boots and just go in the surf with just the booties. Looks like it might be a little slippery. I wonder if I can wear my hiking boots over 'em.

Personally, I wear Crocs over the stocking foot feet, of the waders.
If your doing on the sand surf fishing only that is good enough, and light also.
If you are going to hike down to the water like in some areas in Santa Barbara etc
Yeah, they would be to slippery prone . I do it, but would not recommend going
on jetties or rock boilers cuz I have slipped to often with Crocs and booties.
Hiking boots you could wear if they are a size or two larger than the stocking feet
size, and I thought about that myself, but way to heavy and prone to get your feet
knocked out from under you in strong currents or waves.I am thinking the ans. may
be, just to get a good divers bootie with a good treaded sole that will fit over the
stocking foot ?

I was looking thru the Cabela's catalog last night and saw a really nice one with the same sole makers as my ombat boots for around $80. I think I might just order me a pair.

"Look'a 'im, in 'is wee 'li-l Bewts!" Sorry i had too hahaha..

Keep in mind that wetsuits are designed to trap heat.. I suggest getting a two-piece wetsuit, so you can just wear the leggings. Of course, you could always let a bit of seawater in to cool down...

Summer almost here. Just say 'No' to waders.
