I was looking forward to buy my first baitcast reel and came across this reel. I read a lot of good feedback about it. Wondering if anyone on this board who use this reel and can give some advice. How is it compare to the Shimano Citica reel?
Thanks

I've never used either of those reels, but if u check out the following link for BPS, you'll see the Midas has very good reviews.

imho, go with the better know brand that is proven, shimano. plus the citica is $10 cheaper.
one more thing, that particular browning reel is butt ugly.

Citica is great. It's practically a curado, but gets like 3-4 seconds less free spool, and can't really cast 1/4oz baits. Other than that it can slay anything. Seriously anything, I've slayed 20lb carp on it.

Keep in mind that many manufacturers are more popular in different regions of the country.

I'd go to BPS and see what reel u like the best and which one feels good in your hand.
