Zuma,arrived 7am to 2-5ft. waves on the low tide. It was about ten min.
before nine am. Decide consequently,because it is only three bucks all day
in the Pt. Dume parking area, to park and start there :Idea:

Water was super cold, but the clarity was good, and there was no kelp problems
while fishing at that time,yet, as you can see, a little more of a higher tide coming in
was going to change that quick. Got skunked there anyways . Did get some humungus
sand crabs though right by the rock. Turns out though, they might have been at a very
high price for the taking .Go back to my car to find this BS :Angry:I PUT THE PAY STUB

Right when I passed Corral Cyn. I noticed the water was all brown looking from there to
north and south Malibu too. Stopped at the "Crab Depot" Mid- Malibu, and went down to the sand to see this Old"Salty Dog " I,ll cal him.( Cuz I forgot his name) :Rolls Eyes: I have
happened to meet him and fish with him about four times now :Smile: This guy has been
fishing these areas for over fifty years, and MAN !!! is he a Gold Mine of fishing knowledge :Big Grin: :Wink: Right when I get to the sand, he casts his first cast, and nails this
big boy.

Tape is not stretched good but it was 15in. and or real close to it :Shocked:

Now don,t feel to sorry for me :LOL: even though it is kind of pitifull :LOL::LOL::LOL: Cuz after fishing
almost side by side with this guy, he must have caught 10-15 10in and above Perch ,
and I got skunked :Shocked::LOL: Now here is the thing,and or the difference, that made the
difference. HE :Rolls Eyes::Angry: was fishing with soft shell sand crabs he got in South Bay :Rolls Eyes:
Well, at least he told me where to get them by the bucket load!!! But to late for me
at that time. So, he is killin -em on the softies, and I go about 50-yards from him after
a while just to complain to God and feel sorry for myself again :LOL::LOL: But Hey !!! at least
I scored a Lid :LOL:

Seen one dude at Torrance a few years ago that took the big ones and chipped off the shell on them.
He was casting way outside and getting YFCs. Never seen a BSP over 8" from KH to PV.

had th same thing happen at MDR. bought the ticket, closed the door, and left. Turns out when I shut the door, the ticket flipped over, and the attendent couldn't read it. Sent them a copy of the ticket, but didn't matter........PAY

The softies make all the difference! I've tried peeling off the shell on the hard ones like DR said, but it's still not as effective as softshells.

What's up with the Gay officer giving you a bs ticket!? It's always upsetting to me when people can't do their damn jobs properly, especially something as easy as issuing a parking ticket. :mad:

I'd try to fight the ticket. Find out who the watch commander is for the morning shift and call the desk. Explain the circumstances and tell them that the ticket WAS on your dash. One time I got a ticket at Manhatten for expired reg tags but I had a red temp sticker on my rear window. I called and complained that it was BS and the watch commander asked me to fax him a copy of my temp sticker. He then wrote my ticket off and sent me confirmation that I didn't have to pay the ticket. It can work if you are diligent and NICE!

what a small world,i was almost going to fish with him that weekend.thats ron and he lives down the street from my work ,know him for thirty years. He is the best surf fisherman on the planet.thanx for the report.

So whatever the case .... the officer can say your ticket was not there, turned upside down, unreadable .... his or her word against yours !! Doh !!

Somebody needs to do a video sting on stuff like this IF that's their M.O. to MAKE you a vicitim !! Ka-ching ... Easy Money !!

I got a ticket from the same officer in the same general location about three months ago. I contested it because I had paid for parking and I sent them proof, but they replied that it was a valid ticket and I had to pay it....no chance that will happen. I'll just wait until the fine gets so big they drag me down to court and then I will plead my case to the judge. Pure BS, office Gay lives up to his or her name for sure.
