Sport Chalet Tournament 2011!!!

I arrived at the lake around 6pm Friday night (3-18) to BBQ/camp the line with some of my fellow FNN/Team 57 peeps. Good times and great food well into the a.m. hours.

Had my alarm set for 4:45am to go sign-up for the tournament when the pedestrian gate was supposed to open at 5am. Before my alarm had a chance to go off Thisfool was tapping on my window to tell me they opened the gate early to help everyone get signed-up. WTG!!!

Main gates opened shortly after 6am and Thisfool and I were on the troll by 6:15am. Thisfool and I trolled various lures throughout the day. I was dipping/soaking all my lures in Bite-On Maize and Thisfool was using Bite-On Anise.

Things got started off right away as I landed these 2 fish back-to-back in the 1st 30 mins.

Even though I limited out early I yet again missed out on qualifying for the Masters. Congrats to those from FNN/Team 57 that did qualify (Big Daddy and Rooster)! WTG guys!!!

Can't wait to get back out on the water at my favorite lake, the Vine!

It was a good time the night before and the fishing was fantastic. I thought for sure you would be the one to catch the big one and qualify. The catches you've been getting lately have been unbelieveable. I fished with OFG and another friend. I had them drop me off at a special place, and they took off with my boat to troll. I had to call them to stop by the store and pick me up a second limit pass. I started fishing at 7am and it was only 8am when I called them. Kewly was on patrol and he went to get one for me. Filled both limits. Mostly 2lbr to 3lbrs all day. Anthony, my other partner that day, turned in a 4.6 before noon and got eighth.

Another stellar report Steve! I'm taking notes so that I can do a worthy report from these outings one day. It was a blast friday night hanging with you and the rest of the crew with epic food from all. And a sweet new custom lure from my boy Thisfool! Can't wait until the next one that I can make it to. Nice job on the feesh! I need to get me some leadcore line because the trout seem to be heading deeper. I can't make the last qualifier but I wish you and the rest of the crew good luck!
