Wow how do I start what a phenomenal week the bite turned on everywhere I went spring is here and the fish are on the chew. The past couple weeks I been hitting a few lakes everywhere I went the fish were active. So what could a guy do but put the wood to em. Ill start the post off with Pudd It was great last week before all the mud came and stained the clear water the water level had to rise like 5 ft in one week and that is before the rain. My boat been sitting in the yard for a few months now so decided to take the little fish machine on a slay fest. My memory card got corrupted so I lost a bunch of other pics. I threw mostly senkos and jigs stuck a two fish in the 6lb range one 8lb and a bunch of other 1-2lb fish.

Did a little evening night session at one of my spots to stick this TOAD of a Female. Unfortunately when I caught this fish I did not purchase my scale yet but she would of went eight easy and was way bigger than the eight I caught at pudd. I could of stuck three fish in her mouth she was caught on a green Ika my nighttime go to bait. The pictures didnt do her any justice and boy was this fish strong every time I tried to lip her she would do crazy head shakes and ripped my thumbs up. I dropped her three times on the floor because I couldn't get a grip on her so I decided to leave her there for the pic. Do not worry guys fish swam off perfect.

Did another mission to DVL to do the striper thing my buddies could not make it so I did a trek to DVL by myself again and sure did it pay off. I did put in work from 9:30am-6pm but no avail on the jailbirds but did manage to stick a couple nice trout.. Fish went 6 and 8 lbs.

My personal best crappie day prior to this day was two I ended up with 11 crappie, 1big bluegill, 1 bass all on a Trout magnet I mean 1 trout magnet that is all I had in terms of jigs. I was so excited catching these suckers I was shaking the whole time I was like a kid in a candy store. I never actually targeted crappie and had a wide open bite. All the crappie were 1-2lb slabs first bass went 4.3 then I stuck one on the hudd that went 5.7 which I was stoked about because I have not caught a swimbait fish in a while.

Whether rain, hail, snow, If I have the fish itch I go the weather does not stop me. Fish have to eat and they are not scared of getting wet. Went out last night to see if I could hook up into some bass action again but it was slow oh well plan b the catfish bite like clockwork in the rain.

Oh yea, I need a DVL weekday fishing Buddie im kind of tired of driving way out there by myself and with gas prices the way they are carpool is the way to go. Most my friends cannot do weekdays so If anyone live around West Covina and would like to go drop me a PM maybe we could take turn carpooling.

Fish are biting everywhere.
