Jess Ranch 3-19-11 Bad Weather_Good Fishing!

My wife, son, and I hit Jess Ranch on Saturday. Weather was cold and windy. Lake was choppy (read: rotorwash). Fish were hungry. Started fishing by some cattails for about an hour to get only one short bite. Moved to the spillway and had 45 minutes of panic for our first 7. Things slowed down after 9 and we quite fishing at noon with 11 on stringers. Cleaning station was dry when I got to it. Here is a shot of our best two. Tim caught a 2.5 lber and I caught a 3.3 lber. Mom was the stocker pro.

Good job on the fishes, Me and few freinds were there on Saturday also we did not do as good as you we had 8 fish between 3 of us....all stockers. We fished mostly the north lake with the pink power worm being the best producer.

Ya, and on that Pink note...not all of the fish had that nice pink meat I'm use to seeing there. Not sure if they changed up the food supply or what but some were fairly pale...more white...not yellow. Also found the stomach on the largest completely empty. Makes for easy catching!
