Anglers Lake!!!

As I drove home last night I contemplated fishing Anglers Lake or wait for the full moon to pass... Woke up this morning and asked myself when will I be able to fish a lake on opening day, so off I went to the lake. My dad would take me there as a kid so I was excited to fish this lake once again. Got there @ 830 and caught 7 fish, lost 5+ in the 3 hours I was there. I caught 3 on salmon pb and 4 on Drews worms in black drop shotted. Lost many fish to the weeds around the lake. Most people I saw had a few fish.

The lake looked in good shape and Ed, the resident ranger, said he will be doing more work in the coming weeks. Upon leaving the lake he thanked every fisherman for coming out. When was the last time a lake operator has done that??? Just a fyi its cash only and you need a license to fish.

holy crappsss i heard awhile back a buddy of mine told me it might open back up but wasnt sure. good to hear that it is, love that lake . does it still cost $15 bucks to fish there with no limit??? is the hours still the same .. thank for the report gotta hit it up next week

$13 for adults, kids are a little chapter. Hours are 7-7 closed mon tue I think. 5 fish limit. Its good having a limit, I remember fishing with my dad and catching 10 fish apiece and me cleaning 20.

Wow!!! That lake brings back some awesome memories, I caught some killer trout out of there the back in the day!! I am so stoked to see it open again! They are gettin their fish from mt lassen so there might be some decent ones mixed in. Thanx for the GREAT report, glad u had a great time.

I did not see any bass but I wouldn't be suprised if there are some in there. Overheard that bass, bluegill and catfish will be planted soon.

I wish that I had seen this post earlier. I went out to Corona Lake on Saturday and didn't see much getting caught there. This lake is closer and a lot better looking. I will get out there in the next couple of weeks. thanks for the post.
