The most amazing lake with the most amazing fish (tailwalkers). Arrived around 6:15 and headed out by 6:45. As soon as we anchored it took us about 10 minutes to get our first fish. After that the bite was WFO. It was non stop, with no significant lulls until we stopped at 12:45pm. My buddy and i bought two passes and filled them up. We had numerous fish break our lines under the boat, that probably went at least 5 lbs. What a day! Corona is an awesome place to fish.

It's been almost two years since I was out fishing since I lost my job. I am going to be part of the crowd out there on Sunday. I hope to catch a few of those as well, but more for my son than me. I would rather he be the one to make the catches. Those fish look great and I bet it was a blast catching them. Thanks for the report.

Great news, great report, but are ya willing to share what bait did you use and which location did you fish at?

We fished in a boat across the boat dock. Power mouse set up was the ticket. Orange, Chartruese, White worms with various egg colors were the ticket. Changing up colors helped because the fish seem to adapt to one color.

A power mouse set up is power bait rolled into a ball with trout worm tail. I have had the most luck with this set up while using contrasting colors i.e. green w/ orange pink / white etc.

Do you have any recommended bait brand for this set up? gulp? I see many gulp dough bait jar has "mixed" colors....

Another question, there is no need for wieghts? just bait and hook?

Use a sliding sinker with a 2-4 lb (2 is best) leader no longer than 12". 8-10"best.
