I fished the NBW tournament Sunday, fishing was pretty good. We launched at 630 as the 32nd boat out of 41. Luckily one of our go to spots was left open for the taking. Pretty much stayed there all day fishing the dropshot. We caught fish from 40 - 70 ft., finding structure on the main lake points was key for us. Did see people catching some fish up shallow but it didn't produce for us. We placed 17th with 14.11 lbs. The fish still seemed to be in transition mode but should be making there way up any day now. Can't wait for the next couple months it's about to get good.

Congrats on your tourney. From the boat line I saw the tourney start saw most of the boats heading west, heard the water temp is warmer by the SW area. Nice LMB, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Gd. Yeah we pretty much had the east to ourselves all day. We tried going west and it was a disaster over there, boats sitting on top of a each other every where. We tried one spot and didn't get anything so we left. Trying to use the graph with 5 other boats around is just about impossible! Water was significantly warmer on the west end though, 2 or 3 degrees.

Great job on your finish. 17th is respectful result in one of those tournis.

I was there too. Pretty tough with all of the boats jammed on top of each other. I wasn't in the tourney so I gave those guys their space. I hadn't been to DVL for months, so I decided to take the new boat out there. We ended up with only 2 fish (a couple of 3+lb). We had another come off next to the boat.

I am going to avoid tourney days from now on, unless I am fishing it.

Husker and Smoov thanks a lot, that was our best weight this year and are first time weighing 5. It was a great improvement for us, really looking forward to the next couple tournaments coming up.

pigdestroyer: Yeah it was pretty packed, but NBW is really the only region that gets numbers like that. The other organizations are getting anywhere from 10 - 18 boats so it shouldn't be too bad on those days. Are you going to fish the next NBW lower entry tournament at DVL? The first one was pretty good and it sounds like there will be quite a few more boats at the next one.

Nice job Tyler! Congrats!
Yeah west end is warmer and a lot dirtier too.
I wonder if dirtier is better for fishing?

Yeah, I plan on fishing the lower entry tourney. I was suppose to fish the last one but my boat got quarantined when I went to pre-fish because of the rain. Lesson learned.
