Limit +1 by 9am! @ the Vine (3-5-11)

What a difference a week makes weather (forecast) wise. I arrived at the lake around 4:30am. There was def alot more people then last week when I arrived around the same time and was only the 3rd car in line. The main gates opened shortly after 6am and the Vine staff did an awesome job getting everyone through the gate as always. I launched my boat and was on the water trolling by 6:20am.

I trolled various lures today with everything being dipped/soaked in the new Bite-On Maize!

I knew fishing today would be "on the hook" when the 1st fish of the day came just 5 minutes after leaving the dock!

By now it was about 8:30am and I had 4 fish in the boat. I decided to head in for some breakfast. As I trolled the rest of the way in both my rods went bendo at the same time! I brought my 5th fish in the boat (another 4+lber!) and dumped it outta the net and then grabbed my other rod and brought that fish in and netted it (a solid 5+lber!). Not wanting to catch more then my limit I decided not to take any pics of the 6th fish and quickly and safely released it back into the lake.

With my 5 fish limit I decided to call it a day at 9am. Well I would've kept that 6th fish, bought a 2nd limit pass, and kept on fishing but I didnt have any extra cash on me. I reluctantly called it a day with the bite being WFO.

Now I really can't wait to get back out there on the water at my favorite lake, the Vine!

Your doing real well on the troll at the Vine , Scents work good on the lures for sure . I hope you are using heavier line now like Berkleys fluorocarbon Vanish . Hope to see some DD trout coming to net Steve . Good job .

Yeah imma def gonna start doing some experimenting with using heavier line starting with flouro.
