Decided to hit the beach for a few hours this morning.
I arrived at 7:15 to really nice weather.
The swell was about 3-5 feet, every 3-5 seconds.
The surf was small, maybe chin high at it’s peak.
Water temp was probably 56-57 degrees.
High tide would be 4.6 at 9:05.
When I started throwing I knew it would be rough with the surf breaking at the shore. It would be even worse when after my first 10 casts I got nothing but salad.
I was using an LC 110 in Anchovy. I had 12 pound P-Line and was using my Saros 2500 on a Ugly Stick Inshore rod.
I would make my way South for about ½ and hour when I finally get my first fish;

SWEET!
A legal halibut for March!
It taped out at just under 23” and after I took out the hook, I set it back in the water.
It would be about another half hour before I landed another fish;

I think it was about 5-6 inches.
I ended up staying till 10:15, when I called it a day.
Not a bad day…..
Take Care All,
Robert
