I shoulda gone to the Pudd where I could have gotten skunked for free. Instead I paid $14.00 to get skunked in the wind at Glen Helen. Lots of people caught trout. I had one on, but it got loose right at the shore...bummer. I can say this much: the trout in Glen Helen are a lot bigger than the ones the DFG stocks in the other lakes, and they're beautiful. I tried powerbait, castmaster, everything I could come up with. The one I almost caught and the only other bite I got was d/s green wacky rigged power worm. Come to think of it, though, despite the wind and not catching any fish, it was a beautiful day at the lake.
