Once again, I went to my local park to indulge in some bass fishing. It 's just so easy and I can't stop. Started a little later today, around 7:45 or so. The water is still murky at around 10 inches of visibility, so I opted for the red eye shad, just because KVD uses it.

After 30 minutes, I got slammed 5 feet from shore by a plump 1 pounder. He jumped instantly and scared the crap out of these two ladies walking by. Casting parallel to the same shoreline, I got slammed again by a slightly better fish. About 15 feet away, at also 5 feet from shore.

After these first two fish, it went dead for the next hour. I switched over to a junebug colored senko and walked over to a spot where the waterfall dumps into the lake. First cast, on the sink, I felt a twich and eventually the weight of the fish. Set the hook and quickly landed another fat 1 pounder. Repeat the process, got bit again instantly and landed a 2 pounder. That this time, I wished I had taken some pictures for the fish porn. But I figured that people seen plenty of 1 to 2 pound bass, plus I really didn't planned on doing a report.

Then nothing for the next 30 minutes. At this time, a friend arrived and he started throwing a lucky craft crankbait. I briefly said hi and did a complete cirle of the lake for nothing. I was getting hungry and cold so I decided to give spend the last few minutes at the spot where the watefall dumps into the lake. Once again, first cast, on the sink, I feel the take. Gave it a 1 sec ( make sure he 's got it in this murky water ) wait, then swung hard. After a pretty decent fight with some drag pulling on 10 pound line, my friend Seth helped out, lipping a freaking phat spawner. I posted the picture of that fish below. The picture is bad because of the lack of proper lighting but you can see the basic shape and size of the fish.

That's a nice fat bass. I just wish there were some city parks like that near my neck of the woods.
