Hi guys,
I went to the park again today (Thursday ) since the weather is a little better than forcasted. The water is still very cold and the bite was slow. Had to work really hard to come up with some fish for the essential " fish-porn ". Covering water was the strategy today. Casted and cranked a lipless crankbait for 4 hous straight. After the 3rd hour, it was hard to concentrate and maintain correct depth but did catch 3 bass through out the 4 hours.

All fish were caught on a red eye shad that was given to me last week by a fishing buddy. A total of 3 bass caught, but the third one got off right at shore after throwing the hooks. Also snagged a huge, 15 to 20 pounds carp, that ran all the way to the middle of the lake and peeled off 10lbs line like nothing.

good catches. What time were you out there? Are the cops still cool there?

I got there at 6:30PM. The cops are cool, still. Last time I stayed too late ( about 6 months ago ), a young Latino cop sneaked up on me, shined his flash light in my face, check to see if I had a license, made sure that I was not snagging nor using live bluegill.

He then said: " It' s cool, you can go back to fishing, I am just making sure you 're not the throw net guy. " I 've never seen cops acting like game warden but I guess people were complaining about the ignorant poachers using throw net.

Thanks. I hooked it on the lower side fin, so he ran anywhere he wanted. After 30 secs and still not gainning back any line, I knew he ain't no bass. A cool dude fishing nearby came over to help me land the fish thinking that it was a huge bass. He was also throwing crankbait and got slammed in the same spot, but didn't hook up.
