Just a quick report and some pics from Sunday's tourney, beautiful weather and a great quality of fish out there although the DDs proved elusive this weekend...
First a little shoutout to the weatherman who predicted rain all weekend! :Finger:  From what I heard the threat chased quite a few people off the water Saturday, myself included and I opted for an afternoon behind a computer at work. After hearing how great the bite was and how nice the weather was I felt like the guy on the right! :Idiot:
Capt Noho was also cursing Johhny Mountain and his buddies on tv with the doplar radar, so we decided to try for some redemption on Sunday. Of course Art was supposed to call me at 4:30am when he got up to let me know he was on the road, but instead I called and woke him out of a sound sleep around 5am
Got to the lake just shy of 6am, only a few lines of cars and through the gate 15 minutes later. Got into the tourney, grabbed some seeds and headed for an open spot along the shore until Art showed up. With road access closed in both directions, taking a walk or getting a boat was a popular choice....busy spot at 6:30am

A quick shot of the kids lagoon, no lack of water over there...

Found a spot opposite of the courtesy dock, but the action was very slow up front during the hour or so that I was there....APFish1965's favorite spot, aka "Pintor Point"

Fishing near the boat ramp for the first hour is always entertaining to say the least, Ernie working security did an AWESOME job maintaining the chaos and even helped a couple of elderly gentleman get their boat safely into the water...wtg Irvine staff!

NoHo shows up a little while later and after launching the boat I took his rig up to the overflow parking lot, on the way back I saw a familiar face...hey OlFishergal!

Got back to the dock and took a quick shot of this happy troller out on the water, snow covered mountain in the background makes for a beautiful view...

Capt NoHo and I decided to hit the troll for the day...."TRUST me bro...we are going to KILL dem trout today"

Noho's CD7 firetiger produced early and often on the port side, I was first on the rotation and nailed what turned out to be 4.02 at the scales...not bad after less than 30 minutes of trolling!

It was a GORGEOUS day to be out on the water...

The Vine in all its glory, there is just something about being on this lake....

What a day to be out there!

NoHo was up next and his catch gave him a fight in and out of the water...way to grab that fish Art!

Mr, Bring It Scott himself on the troll....where is the jig rod brotha!?

We lost two fish at the net, one spit hook and one rookie move by yours truly :Embarrassed: So we only ended up with 2 for NoHo's bbq, I had to leave the troll a little early to slang some GirlScout Cookies with LilTD

No Master's qualifier for the day, but Capt NoHo and I will have our revenge!
See you at the lake,
