well here are my second batch of hand painted lures. the gold and black one caught me a 5lb12oz bow on the troll on Saturday (2-19-2011). The gold one is the only one out of these to hit the water and with in 20mins i got hit hard and got that fish on it.

Looking sweet bro. You have me interested in painting some lures myself. It has to be gratifying catching fish on a lure you painted. Way to go!

thank you. i still would like to see how your new key chain would work with a nice treble hook on the end of it. yea it was great my family decided that is the only way they want me to make the trout from now on

While looking for a good iridescent/pearlescent airbrush paint, I came across this stuff:

I'm thinking of thinning this stuff out, then using it in an airbrush.

What sealant are you guy using after you've painted the lure? I have a few I would like to paint...

seems to be one of the better clear-coats.

since i am not using any kind of airbrush i use brand appropriate spray cans of high gloss clear coat. so if i use model masters paint i spray that lure with 3 coats of model master high gloss clear coat, if i am using testors model paint i spray it with model testors gloss clear coat.
