I'm planning on visiting marina del rey the end of march and was wondering what kind of off shore fishing can be expected. And is there any good offshore striper fishing near there.

End of March in Marina Del Rey you'd be fishing either rockfish, sculpin or bass.

Consistent saltwater striper fishing is only up in Northern California. San Francisco Bay has quite a few charter operations. It's nonexistent down here in SoCal. Off shore is maybe white seabass at the islands with a few yellowtail thrown in (overnighter) and bass/sculpin/rock cod for the 3/4 day to 1/2 day crowd for March. Off shore really picks up June-September around here.
