yes , word is and i've done some reading.. DFG does stock most of the local streams .. Different rules when you fishing the streams.. most of the natural's are the goldens and browns you find more up the mountain if your willing to make the hikes.. you can also find them up in the San gabriel river.. but up there with the Big horn sheep..

spring time we will hit it up and nail those fish. at least once we have to go since we will be float tubing paris more

When did they stop stocking it? I use to fish it as a kid back in the 80's & fried trout was always at the end of the day.
I really want to hit Santa Ana River soon before all the tourist attack it in spring.

i couldnt agree more and due to the lack of or any stocking at all i dont believe there are to many fish in lytle creek in general...

Im pretty sure Lytle creek was not stocked in the 2010 Season. I did have some good days there in that year. I think because none of the locals were going there anymore because of no stock reports. Since the massive floods all the previous Pools are gone. I wont go there til late May. Let all the fish settle into some new man made pools from the weekend picnic warriors.

i've fishe dthe creek for quite a few years...done really well...normally leave with at least 15...all catch and release..its all good for the one's that think theres no fish..more catches for me..haha..=)

Next time you fish there, try that big concreate thing you see on the way up. It is deep and usually holds alot of fish.
