Fishing went beserk today and anglers that braved the pre frontal conditions where rewarded handsomly. Trollers, jiggers and bait guys all scored on the fish today and location really wasnt a factor at all as fish where taken from the Flats, boat dock cove, west shore and Sierra Cove. Not one but three double digit Rainbow and two Brown Trout over 7lbs. To go along with the plethora of big fish where plenty of 3-5lb class fish to fill out the stringer!

Sonny Morkus of Anaheim Hills lead the big fish charge with this 14.2 lb Rainbow Trout taken while casting a Crankbait in Boat Dock Cove.

Next up was Scott Fullerton from West Covina with his 13.10 Rainbow Trout that ate a CD 03 Silver and Black Rapala. Scott battled the beast for 20 min and even had to back down on the fish as it made a run into some brush. Looks like we won the battle.

Mitch Hopewell of Riverside was the first angler to weigh in a double digit today! His fish went 13.8 lb and ate a Watermelon colored Kastmaster while trolling.

Now here comes the 2nd part of the title! We have been stocking more Brown Trout this year and boy has it paid off at the scales. Lots of quality Browns have been checked in. And today was no diffrent!

Dave "Tiny" Peterson of Garden Grove/ Enterprise Sportfishing checks in this 7.3 Brown Trout while fishing a white Power Worm in Woody's Cove.

Clinton Whisler of Anaheim also checks in a big Brown Trout in the form of this 7.1lb. Clintons fish also ate a white Power Worm.

Now for the 3rd installment of the title.

Mike Traut from Costa Mesa put the hurt on the fish today with this 5 fish 20lb limit. All taken while trolling River 2 Sea Plugs around the lake.

Frank L, Al Porter, Al Porter Jr and Bill Moore (bill's first trip to the lake he is from Iowa) also found the fish to be lickin the trolled lures today. The five anglers in their group teamed up for a 25 FISH LIMIT!!!!! All their fish where taken while trolling X-Raps in the Firetiger pattern.

That is it for now with all of the fish today I am jazzed about tommrows tournament and the weights we could see! This low pressure hanging around is only going to make this bite better! Hope to see everyone this weekend and hopefully you get that fish of a lifetime or that stringer of one too!

what do all those nice catches have in common? none were caught with bait from the shore! about 14 of us lined the shore between boat dock and boat ramp and maybe caught 4 fish in 9 hours of fishing. take your boat or rent one if you wanna catch 'em.
