Ultra light rod 2lb P-line
crappie candy
trout magnet all white or white/chart
March will be wide open almost every where,watch for reports.

crappie jigs :-) lol lil trout jigs work great just use light line and a light pole and u will have a blast

This is what has worked for me, with the red-eyed silver jig and wax worm combo being the best. Use a 6.5 ft ultralight rod, 2 lb. Yozuri, and a good ultralight spinning reel with a smooth drag. Fish where the crappie are....
