I'll keep this short and to the point. If you want the long version, hit the blog (link in sig:EyePop:).
Fished DVL for bass today from the shore. Worked alot of plastics. Ended up catching three largemouth, one being my biggest from DVL. I was under the impression that most the bass are still deep, kinda surprised to catch 1, let alone 3 (I mostly fish city park ponds, so catching even 1 is a great day heh). Water was clear but did have that green scum layer, thick in some of the coves. All the fish had hefty bellys, either eating lots of other fish or pregnant. Definitely my best fishing trip at DVL so far. Now, if only I can catch a striper there...

I was driving around in my boat up shallow on the north side of the lake in the shallows just seeing what was around. Did see a half dozen or so up shallow with one big one. close to 6 or 7 pounds. Did see quite a few carp as well up to bout 25 pounds.

Awesome catch! Just one question, did you ride your bike down the fire road towards the westerly end of the lake near the Inlet? that is where it looks like you headed (from the right side of Launch Ramp).

No, I hiked over on foot. Next time I will probably bring a bike. I was fishing to right of the ramp though
