I was busy in the morning so we got a late start. We got on the water after 11:00.
We trolled out of the channel and into the main lake without picking up any fish. I never saw more than one ore two marks on the finder at a time. Out in the main lake I put one rig on the downrigger. It didn't look like the fish were where they had been last week.
After making a pass by the Island and dam we set anchor out by the buoy. There were a few fish around up high. I was first on the board with two Pyramid schoolies (Should read "Sad little fish.").

Alex took this pic just before I caught them. lol
We didn't bother with pics. We were looking for something a little bigger.
We weren't getting enough interested fish to hold us on that spot so we moved near a flat associated to deep water. We were there for a littler while before things heated up. Alex caught a couple and I picked up another while we were waiting. Then I looked down at the fishfinder and started babbling "Their here their here, watch everything that's near thirty feet. The fish finder was singing my favorite song. There were fish from 20 to 45 feet, lots of them.
The next thing we knew Ritchie and Alex were both hooked up and a moment later I was hooked up. We landed a triple.
The school stayed under the boat but we had comparatively few bites considering how many fish were under us. Alex soon passed my numbers as I put on an agricultural fishing demonstration. Ritchie picked up another fish in the bow.
Oh! These are Ritchie's first striper.

After all that he had heard about STRIPER
All of the fish we got were of the smaller grade but we wound up with an even dozen.

The hole in the floor.
We stopped for a hot dog on the way out of the lake then started playing creative photography games.

I'm not sure when Alex took this pic.
Man the days are short up at that altitude. They close Pyramid way too soon.
So the numbers are.
Alex - 6
Ron - 4
Ritchie - 2 "First Striper"
Thank you guys for fishing with me yesterday. Your good company.
