I'm looking for some good weedless jig heads for some swim bait action in some heavy cover. Something similar to the above style and nature. Any personal recommendations??

i've had good luck tossing a swim jem http://jewelbait.com/swimgem.html into heavy cover. but it doesn't have the weed guard. I recommend their jigs as well

check out these baits and jig heads. they are probably the best out on the market now. I've been using htme for a while for flipping into kelp beds and even fishing the wal, and they work great for me. I also know a ton of guys that fish them as well in the SWBA bass series and they love them as well. www.warbaits.com

War Baits are really good. Pricey, but worth it if you don't lose a ton of jigheads. Blade Runner makes something similar also, albeit less detailed. There's also the new "Ranger" stly heads, which have a big heavy-guage EWG hook attached via a loop to your standard tri-head swimbait head. You T-rig the bait and and that makes it weedless. IDK how they perform, just checked them out recently.

Give this guy a shot!!! http://www.mountainmantackle.com/ he is local in Orange County and makes all the tackle he sells by hand....guy even pours the heads and hand ties + paints them to your specs....truely custom baits at a fair price!

I started to make my own im at my moms work so I will post them later. Are you targeting a specific species? I made some that are small darter heads with a weed gaurd with a skirt and they look killer with a 3' bh. I picked up some 5/8 jig heads at turners last night 3.29 for 5. they have weed gaurds and an awsome shape for bouncing down the wall and other bottom dancing.

WAR baits are just too good.

Warbaits, done and done. They're not free but you're not gonna lose many of em if your tossing them in the junk with the proper line.

I got my weedless jigheads from Bass Pro, but I don't know if they still sell them because of the supposed lead ban. You might want to check them out online.

The truly weedless jigheads have the hook eye at the tip of the head.
Your top picture has the hook eye too far back to throw into the kelp because the front of the head will catch the kelp instead of sliding up and over it.

I have this mold and pour these (poison tail)
If your up to painting them yourself and gluing on your own eyes, I can sell some for a reasonable price
They come in 1/2, 3/4 and 1oz.

The warbait heads are very nice but cost a bit

Check this site for discounted prices
I can't touch these prices
