I need some pointers for surf fishing at south carlsbad or any surrounding beaches.

1st = stand somewhere along the sandy area near the water
2nd = using a fishing rod with line and hook attached throw some type of "saltwater" type bait into the actual water.
3rd = wait for fish to eat said "saltwater bait"
4th = reel in said fish and enjoy

I would recommend lemon twist power bait dipped in WD40... :finger:

never fished there but its probably pretty similar to almost any beach for surf fishing.

I use a sliding rig with a 1 or 2 oz. sinker,24" 6# leader,#8 hook,bloodworms,mussels,or sand crabs fror bait.
