what up fnn?.. i've tubed corona before, but 2mrw i'm headed out with the nephew and was wondering are anchors provided with their $50 rental boats? (suppose to be windy)

Yes, but they are not good anchors. If it's windy you'll have a hard time staying on anchor in my experience. Good luck out there!

Blocks of concrete. Effective for breezes, not very effective if it howls. Point your boat into the wind. If you let out quite a bit of line the anchor will drag across the bottom, dig in and hold you. Unless it howls, in which case Corona is a good place to drift.

If you plan to fish a lot from rental boats, go to walmart and buy an anchor and a rope, you'll be very happy if it is windy.
