Ok- so SARL has teased me and snickered at me for far too long! Had to show the lake whose Boss! LOL
J/k - I love fishing there and I usually try my hand on the big lake but a few saturdays ago, I decided to hit the Catfish lake and see what lurks in there.
I pulled up a nice white sturgeon, 100+ pounds, no accurate weight for it but she was a beautiful animal.
She was released unharmed and swam back off into the deep.
30 minute fight brought her up to the surface and at it was a choir to get her out.
Fun times!
Next lake: Irvine !:mad:

That's a beautiful fish. I've been tempted to hit the catfish pond but didn't know if they were keeping anything in there.

A regular at SARL told me there's a large pipe that runs from the cat lake to the big lake and he thought the fish you caught might have swam thru the pipe and ended up in the cat lake, nice job landing that lunker.

I fished SARL in Dec and while I was fishing the large lake, a guy caught an 87 lbs. sturgeon. Instead of releasing it into the big lake, they released it into the catfish lake. That got my mind going . Thats the whole reason I fished that lake. The pics of the 87 lb'er look really similar to the one I caught.
