I don't know about the trout ones, but I have a Californian Tournament Series rod from Turners that I used for bass and I love it. Hopefully the trout ones should be good too.

my california spinning 7ft 2" rod is my favorite drop shot rod ever,even thou its a 2 piece rod.the rating on the rod was 2lb to 6lb.rating ,which i thought, was to light for bass, was so much better than my expensive shimano rod ,in casting ,and feel, i ended up selling my exspensive shimano rod,that cost me twice as much.i caught 6lb LMB on my california drop shot rod,and handeled it with no problem....

Just a heads up, Turners is running a sale on their rods again. Not a killer sale, but you will save some money.
