Hey everyone I'm thinking about picking up the 21 carrot gold stick in 7'3. does anyone have it? and what do you think about it?

I don't own any of the Gold Series rods, but I own a drop shot and a cranking CarrotStix. They're hands down my favorite rods. The dropshot rod is very sensitive.

i own a total of 4 carrotstix but no gold. I have a variety from dropshot, to cranking, flipping you name it. Love the carrotstix never let me down and they perform flawlessly when those big lmb and even saltwater fish such as big bat rays are willing to play. Extremely sensitive yet have the backbone to get the job done.

I have e21 Gold Stick , It't work well with surf and I tried for sculpin (sound crazy) but it's work very well, backbone is strong and can handle the biger fish .

they have aluminum oxide rings, while not the hardest of rings when i had mine they never grooved while using spectra and that was using 10lbs powerpro. Remember with spectra, the lighter the test, the more likely the rings will groove, sine youre putting the stress/heat of the line passing through the guide over a smaller area. so if you ran 20-30lbs spectra for the same application, youd be in the safer zone.

Thanks everyone. I got the CMG731MH-F-C E21 carrot stick with micro guide. I paired it with a shimano chronarch ch100bpv. I cant wait to get out and use it.
