We both had errands to run in the morning so we met at the lake around 10am. I had 4 hours to fish till I had to leave at 2pm to pick my Daughter up from school.
We started out trolling various lures both flylined and on the leadcore with all my lures being dipped in Bite-On Garlic. Kewly was the 1st one to hook-up and the fish really put up a fight. Half way through the fight the fish got twisted up with one of the leadcore rigs. I tried my best to get the lines untangled before handing the scissors over to Kewly. He tells me to hold on to the end of his line and whatever I do don't let go. As soon as I hear snip, snip, I thought I felt the line go limp. I was sure the fish had come off because it wasn't moving at all but the line still felt heavy. Almost as soon as Kewly re-tied his line I felt the fish start to move a bit and I also saw the line moving. It's still on! It's still on!, I yelled. I grabbed the net and Kewly worked the fish in and after a few theatrical minutes we landed a solid 5lb, full tailed, beautifully coloured 'bow!
Kewly landed the next fish on the same colour but a different lure so I decided to throw on the same colour on my leadcore. Closest thing I had in that colour was a jointed Rebel I pulled out of the Pudd a few years ago. I threw some new hooks on it and let it out. Before long my leadcore was buzzing and I was on my 1st fish of the day!

So we were on a pattern. 3 fish, 3 different lures, all the same colour. Kewly eventually landed the 4th fish and me the 5th before it was time for me to head in. 5 fish in less then 5 hours. Wish I didn't have to leave when I did otherwise we may have had a good chance of limiting out since we were on a pattern throughout the day.
Here's a pic of our fish!
