Rod recommendation

My dad and I were wondering what rod you would recomend for a Quantum AC500 PTs With 8lb test. Thanks!

With what budget and for use with what techniques?

Length preference? Taper preference?

7-8', $100 max, Salterwater/Bay/Lures, 3/4 lure weight, Light Medium Action

I would go with a abu garcia I have the cheapist one 7 foot mh and it works great

Abu Garcia, Veritas, 7' M. Lightweight, good guides, and under $100. Nice tip for line line.
Might want to look a Shimano Clarus, and maybe the Falcon Bucoo series too, BPS definitely has rods in that price range. Depends on what you like it rod really...

3/4 ounce lure weight most likely does not equate to a "Medium Light" type of rod...when throwing 3/4 ounce swimbaits in the ocean, I am usually throwing 14#, and not 8#. Are you sure you didn't mean 1/4 ounce?

If you did mean 3/4 ounce, I'd go with a Powell Max Crank Cast Rod 8' Hvy 806CB, since it's on sale at TackleWarehouse for 120ish. It's a dream for slow rolling heavier baits.
