Does anyone know if the macs are biting in newport pier? or anywhere else? i wanna go today, but don't wanna go waste my time.

I was at Redondo Beach Pier Last night and they were hitting in the middle without any effort at all. I caught a bunch for my co-workers who love to eat them and some for me as bait. Hope that helps.

yeah, i know what you mean. And that's true. it's just that i haven't been fishing in a while now and i'm desperate to catch a fish lol

I went to Seal Beach pier last month, and heard the macs are biting at Belmont pier the next week.

A week ago monday was a Mac every cast. C&R 20 + in a hour.
Even donated some to the crabs in the rocks.

We do have sierras over here but only during warmer months and they're a rare catch.

went to go walk on the pier on sunday night with the gf, and good thing i didn't go fishing. it sucked. The people that were fishing had no fish. Was all empty too.

Redondo was off the hook saturday night on ok sized macs.
Big old Pod of Dolphins there too.
