First...please forgive any spelling errors as this is coming from my cell phone!

Just pulled through the gate...line was about 3/4 up the first lane. Light breeze out of the east/southeast The plan is to start at the "super secret spot" and go from there...I'm feeling better already!

What a day! Unbelievable weather. As you guys can see, the fishing was just insane. And there was a crew of people out there fishing that just don't get any better. Kirk, fantastic fishing with you. For those that haven't fished with Kirk, the guy is a fish magnet and a "powermouse guru"! For those that have fished with Kirk, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Calfish, next time you're out there give me a hollar!

I started out with the intention of crossing the lake right off the bat but decided to give the trout worm a twitch or two as I left the launch. Immediately it was game on. I was trying to be a good "on the spot" reporter for those of you stuck at work and snap lots of pictures, but I'm not a good on the spot reporter and lost 4 fish due to fumbling for my cell phone prior to the sun coming up! Can you say unreal??? Got bit on bait and the plastics. 18" leaders on the bait and trout worms, both ran behind a #7 splitshot clipped right on the mainline. 2 fish were hooked on a 1/32white minijig.

I moved to the "super secret spot" and it just kept going. A few lulls to let you grab a drink, take a potty break, or just admire the scenery and then it would be game on again. Fish with shoulders like linebackers and attitudes like firecrackers. My total stringer weighed...well...I'll just show you!

almost 17 pounds! That's a whole bunch of:

Good grief, does it get any better?!

These are the days you keep with you through the week to keep you from beating your head against the wall at work. Just an insane amount of fun and I can't state enough how lucky I feel to have a place like this virtually in my backyard. A HUGE thanks to the people at Corona Lake for doing what they do so incredibly well. We all greatly GREATLY appreciate it.

A couple more pics from the end of the day. The wife demands that I go to dinner with her! Thanks for tuning in!! Video coming soon!

Went and did a little diving today...
http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u15/sapdawg11/Lajolla129.jpg

Promised my dive buddy some delicious fish for dinner if he wanted to come by after I got some work done. Here's what we got...Brined the fish from this report for 24 hours in some weird concoction I made yesterday. Smoked for 2 hours after we got back...All of that added up to "Friggin delicious"!

I thought you couldn't use a typical boat fishfinder, like yours, on a float tube? Thought it had to be a "float tube" fishfinder, i.e. Hummingbird. Have you use the Hummingbird? Obviously i dont know enough about fishfinders...
