I stopped by the Pudd today and fished the Sail Boat Cove, from 10:00 am till noon casting a black Rooster Tail on 2 lb test. And I actually caught 2 trout :EyePop: Also I checked out Fairmount Park on my way home, and seen it was still pretty muddy but looking a bit better.

Thanks for the report.
I think we're going to have an early spring this year.
Those redears should be moving up to spawn soon, not to mention the bass.

old pudd fisher; thank you sir for that report. I don't ask for much usually in reports but anything that gives me hope! I like puddingstone, it's a nicer lake than Santa Fe Dam but not as far as Castaic. But it's good to know there is fish in there! I'll be heading out there during March- April free parking on weekends!! Good one on that rooster tail!

Any recommendations on where at Pudd to get the carp? My semi-retired parents live nearby, and have been looking for a reliable place to catch carp. LOVE Big Bear, but it's a bit of a drive from West Covina.

Everyone keep putting up good reports about the pudd and you will have all the poachers out their in no time flat, including the ones with no license's and buckets of bass. Please people pratice C@R only on the bass or their wont be much to catch after awhile.

totally right on point about the poachers. Nothing worst than the sight of a bucket of bass. It's hard enough to fish in these city lakes as it is and it only gets worst when people don't practice C & R
