Surf bites and offshore

It's been a while but but i got to do some fishing and I have to admit it always start slow because i missed alot of bites but once i got to learn the bites the fish was on
Tackle: Ultra Light spinmatic with Okuma diablo on 2lbs test
Tackle: Gl2 medium fast action with spider reel on 4lbs test

First stop was to go and get some grub as i was so hungry i could eat a horse.

After a fine lunch i headed to the closest pier which was Cabrillo armed with light tackle and some sand worms i made my first cast and Whamo this little guy

and so my adventure began and i got hammered hard by this fish fought like a freight train on 2 lbs test haha PB lizard i've caught in my life!

Compare first and second fish it's so serious that i had to pull out my tape and it was 14.5 inches!!!

and 5 mins later after about my 10th cast and retrieve on the bottom i had this

fought as if it was starved and out of energy haha

the very next day i went out on a trip with my Lady and her bro and did some good fishing

The victory was a pretty boat with a lounge that i thought i was not supposed to go into lol

until... he caught a sheephead he was suppose to hold the Sheephead but was too scared. the Captain said "hold it" James says, " oh no! no no no no no... it has teeth! and it's weird!" The crew that heard it laughed and said," what kind of man are ya?" lol
and so he had the gaff.

After fishing died in the area for sand dabs we moved spots closer to shore and that's when my Girl Friend hooked up on this guy

She was alittle hesitant at first to hold the fish but the captain showed her how and so she took a nice pic with it and with that the crew said outloud wow see? she can hold the fish why cant you? your not man enough? all in all it was a great trip all Catch and released on the Sheeps

and so today i head out to Santa Monica for some surf fishing again and had these guys to greet me with an instant first cast bite
