Hit up the creek for a half day sesh - sun was poking through, which was nice for a change after all the bad weather. I was determined to pick some fish off with a dry fly - Hoppers and Stimies. I had some good, vicious takes. However, none of it made up for the tragedy I found belly-up on the creek. Such a shame to see an old friend who was mistreated by another. Not sure if he was released properly or if old age got the best of him. I've caught this fish twice and have stalked him for four years. Some of you might have also known him... RIP... A legend is dead.
