Haven't posted for a while not because of lack of going but for fear of reprisal on here. But then again who cares. For those that do care and can use some info, here it goes. After my team the bears lost, i didnt care who won the jet/steeler game. Decided to do a solo recon hoop trip. Left hh at 4pm. went through the Inside of LA breakwater. Saw some hoopers there but little did they know, hooping is restricted in the inside between angels and queen gates. went on the outside on some secret local stones in 70 ft of water. temp 59 slight chop but no problem setting the nets. Nets on the water at 5pm.
First pull at 5:20pm
net 1 = 3 short 1 legal
Net 2 = 1 legal
net 3 = 2 short
net 4 = 0 wtf?
net 5 = 1 short
2nd pull at 5:45
net 1 = 4 short 1 legal(8lbs)
net 2 = 2 legals
net 3 = 1 shorts 4 legals
dam over limits for one person
net 4 = 6 shorts 2 legals
net 5 lost count threw back the shorts and legals
Lost track on how many from there, but cull the lobster for the bigger models. So there you have it, Lobsters are on the early crawl. Also on a side note, I notice when I was pulling in the nets I swear I saw some bait size squid in the water, but then again im getting to old for this. lol...home by 7:30pm
