The first day of the 2fer $22 day was a huge success! Tons of fish where brought to the scales as anglers viad for a shoot at the Masters. A plethora of fish in the 3-5lb class made their way to the scales. For a while it seemed like every fish I weighed was in that class. Their where a few big dogs weighed in as well.

Finishing in 1st place Dean Risco of Anaheim Hills with a 9.10 bow caught on the troll with a Rapala Firetiger mid lake.

Currently in 2nd place Stanley Santos with his 8.12 bow caught on the troll with a Firetiger mid lake.

Sam Tagaloa of Orange checks in this 7 lber taken from boat dock cove! More from Sam later on!

In 4th place is Joe Wise of Reseda with an 8lb 8 oz rainbow caught on salmon egg powerbait at boat dock cove.

As you can see the big ones went on the chew today! It seemed like the trollers may have one up'd the bank guys toaday but their where a few good ones taken from the bank..

Now, we all saw Sam and his 7lb Rainbow right? Well Sam weighed in that 7lb fish thinking that would sit him pretty for tommrow. Well no more than three casts later Sam hooks into this!

A 12.6 Rainbow Trout taken on a yellow and white mini jig. Sam hooked the beast while fishing in boat dock cove and let his son Niko battle the beast. Sam had to keep the 7.0lb fish weighed in earlier as his weight.

Here are the top 10 from today:
Dean Risco – 9.10 lbs
Stanley Santos – 8.12 12:04 p.m.
Gilbert Aharmada - 8.12 1:53 p.m.
Joe Wise – 8.08 lb
Bill Wartranft – 7.10 lb 1:26 p.m.
William Hurtt - 7.10 lb 1:52 p.m.
Sam Tagaloa – 7 lb
Geo altamirano – 6.12 lbs 12:18 p.m.
Bruce Watson – 6.12 lbs 1:58 p.m.
Louis Perez – 6.04 lbs 1:32 p.m.

The anglers who weighed in today before 2:00pm where given a pass back to the lake tommrow to finish the 2fer $22 tournament! The weight you where given today will be added to your weight tommrow to give you a final weight. The top 10 from those weights will be our winners. So dont be discouraged if you had a smaller weight because you are still in it! It is still anybodys ball game the next 20lb er could be yours and bump you way up in the standings.

Was there today in hopes of catching n releasing some greenies, but due to high winds no private boat launches allowed. Lake looks great, I haven't seen it in years. This years spawn and spring bite should be HOT!!!
