Hey folks, thanks in advance for any and all responses. Thinking about doing some trolling on the upper for stripers and I'm hoping those in the know would be so kind as to share a tips or ideas.

What to troll with? Where? How fast? Do I have to use an umbrella rig?

Again, and thoughts and responses are appreciated!

I 2nd that..trolling this time of year is real tough. It requires alot more than just draggin lures... summer you can tune in alot better. Booking a guiiide trip (Bob)is a good idea if you want to learn from the master. a good graph and lots of patience is key

If you want a umbrella I can make the deadliest of them all, "The ella-ella"
so you don't waist your time getting skunked and end up snagged at the bottom

But like the guys said, the fish are deep these days, in schools
so unles you can put the lures real deep you can catch them
that is all, lures deep away from the boat and slow at 2 mph,
a downrigger can make you a master, fish for trout deep
and you may encounter the schoolie stripers

good luck

THE STRIPERS ARE AFTER THE SHAD AND THEY ARE DOWN DEEP ,EXCEPT SOMETIMES YOU CAN FIND SHAD THAT ARE SHALLOW ,LIKE FIFTY FEET IF YOURE LUCKY ,SO UNLESS YOU HAVE A DOWNRIGGER OR LEADCORE ,YOU MAY WANT TO WAIT FOR A LITTLE WHILE,OR DO SOME SPOONING NEAR SOME BAITBALLS,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,t/o,,,,,,,
